Come to the Other Side is a personal street photography project that reimagines the ordinary through a surreal lens.

Rooted in the idea of “slice of life”—those quiet, uneventful moments we often overlook—this series asks: what if the everyday isn’t as familiar as it seems? What if another side of the world exists, quietly beckoning from beneath the surface?

Each image becomes a portal: a strange reflection of the world we know, yet tilted, warped—inviting you to step through and feel something shift. A parallel dimension hidden in plain sight.

Welcome to the other side.
This project reimagines the “slice-of-life” genre through a lens of quiet tension and cinematic mystery. By removing color, the series emphasizes form, contrast, and emotion—inviting viewers to focus on visual rhythm rather than vibrant distraction. Inspired by the atmospheric tone of DPR IAN’s Dear Insanity… (2023) and the uncanny world-building of the film Coraline (2009), the images act as portals into a parallel reality—one that mirrors our own, but feels slightly off.

Each photograph suggests a subtle fracture in the ordinary, a moment suspended between familiarity and the unknown. Through layering, distortion, and glitch techniques, the visuals aim to evoke a dreamlike dimension—both inviting and unsettling.

The final 10 images in the series are composed from more than 60 unique photographs, using creative techniques such as multiple exposure, glitch art, and experimental composition to build surreal narratives within each frame.
