Photography Series
In the quiet rhythm of daily life, a subtle shift reveals unexpected worlds—seeing not what is, but what could be, with wonder beneath the ordinary.
This project
reimagines the “slice-of-life” genre through a lens of quiet tension and cinematic mystery. By removing color, the series emphasizes form, contrast, and emotion—inviting viewers to focus on visual rhythm rather than vibrant distraction. Inspired by the atmospheric tone of DPR IAN’s Dear Insanity… (2023) and the uncanny world-building of the film Coraline (2009), the images act as portals into a parallel reality—one that mirrors our own, but feels slightly off.
Each photograph suggests a subtle fracture in the ordinary, a moment suspended between familiarity and the unknown. Through layering, distortion, and glitch techniques, the visuals aim to evoke a dreamlike dimension—both inviting and unsettling.
